Organiser’s welcome letter

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of ITE Group, I would like to welcome exhibitors and visitors of Ingredients Russia 2019, the 22nd International exhibition of food ingredients.

The Russian food ingredients market is developing in both quality and quantity. The changes in Russians’ quality of life and the influence of Western food markets are giving rise to the introduction of innovative production technologies and the use of modern high-tech ingredients. The trends in the world food ingredients market – usability, an increase in natural ingredients and ingredients for healthy food and a healthy way of life – are also common in the Russian market.

The food ingredients industry has great potential for growth in terms of creating ingredients production businesses in Russia that will eventually contribute to the gradual substitution of imported products. To accelerate this process, state support measures for the food and processing industry have been implemented via the following programmes: The Foundations of State Strategy of the Russian Federation for the Population’s Healthy Nutrition until 2020, the Strategy to Develop the Food and Processing Industries, and the Development of Bio-Technology in the Russian Federation until 2020. These programmes put a particular emphasis on the development of innovative food ingredients and technologies.

One tool that contributes to the development of the range and improvement in quality of Russian products is Ingredients Russia. For almost two decades, the annual exhibition has earned its reputation as an important trade event, objectively reflecting industry trends. Ingredients Russia contributes to the introduction of world quality standards, innovative production technologies and the development of international cooperation.

The importance of Ingredients Russia for the food industry is confirmed by the long-standing support from state institutions and the active participation of trade unions and associations in organising and running the event. I would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Council of the Federation Committee for Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management, the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), the Consumer Market Development Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Consumer Market and Services Department, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Moscow Region, the Association of Trade Unions of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Russia (ASSAGROS), the Moscow International Business Association, and the Russian Union of Food Ingredients Producers for their support and practical help in organising the exhibition.

I wish exhibitors and visitors effective work, new contacts and success in implementing set plans.
